The Certamen Reina MP Latino Fest is a fundraising pageant. The funds raised by each participant will directly support the Manassas Park Latino Festival, helping us provide live music, cultural showcases, youth entertainment, scholarships, and more.
Through this pageant, we highlight the strength, beauty, and voice of Latina women in our city. You are not only representing yourself—you are becoming a community ambassador.
Fundraising Expectations
Each contestant is encouraged to raise a minimum of $500 to support the festival. You are free to surpass this goal—top fundraisers will be recognized and awarded.
We will provide:
- Zelle QR code and pageant flyer templates
- Sample sponsorship letters
- Fundraising tracker sheet
- Online fundraising tutorials
Ways to Fundraise:
Social media campaigns with donation link or Zelle
Personal outreach (family, friends, local businesses)
Bake sales, raffles, car washes
Sponsor-a-sash / sponsor-a-platform campaigns
Pageant Categories
You will be judged in the following areas:
- Runway / Pasarela
- Attitude & Confidence
- Public Speaking / Oral Expression
- Elegance & Presentation
- Swimsuit
- Cultural Costume
- Evening Gown
- Final Question (Top 5 Finalists)
A panel of judges will evaluate you on poise, confidence, community engagement, and platform presentation.
Your Platform
Each contestant must choose a platform—a cause, issue, or idea you are passionate about. This is your opportunity to inspire others and make a difference.
Examples:
- Mental health in teens
- Celebrating Latin heritage
- Women in STEM
- Anti-bullying campaigns
- Arts & education access
You will have the chance to present your platform during pageant activities and interviews.
